Jane Austen at Home
I have been headed in a sewing new direction...playing with fabrics in small projects. Using elements from the Jane Austen Panel I have been creating Doll Quilts. See NTX93V for an example of cutting a complete diamond from the panel and surrounding it with 3/8th" hexies. NTX72V shows a Center Medallion Doll Quilt. I cut a 3 1/2" element from the panel and added a 1/2" finished border to make a 4" (finished) Center. Then added 1" squares....either with EPP or precise piecing. The finished project is 12" by 14". Go to SEARCH to find these stock #s.
See JAX01V on this page for 6" squares to jump start your project. The 'rose' part of the frame is JAX25R. For an early 19th Century look...use lots of 'lights'.-
