Margo’s Weekly Fun Find
Windham Presents Trading Post Cottons
Circa 1870 - Pattern 21436

This week’s treasure from my stash is a charming mid-19th century inspired print that immediately caught my eye. A warm, rich brown ground is overlaid with a tiny geometric lattice, giving it that wonderful small-scale texture we love in reproduction fabrics. Scattered across the surface are delicate blue and soft yellow blossoms, each nestled inside a crisp white oval wreath.

It’s the kind of print that reads as a tidy “neat” from a distance, but up close you discover all the sweet little details. The scale is perfect for smaller piecing, borders, or adding depth to a scrappy Civil War quilt. It would also play beautifully with double pinks, indigos, or cheddar accents if you’re building a historically inspired palette.

This one has that classic circa 1870 feel — structured, orderly, and practical, yet softened by those tiny florals. A wonderful blender with personality.
