A striking and culturally rich print, this out-of-print “Gathering Bush Tomatoes” fabric was designed by Aboriginal artist Aubrey Nungarrayi for M+S Textiles. This design celebrates traditional storytelling through bold color and symbolic pattern, featuring circular bush tomato motifs connected by flowing vine-like forms.

The vibrant deep red ground is layered with painterly texture in golden yellow, turquoise, and soft green, creating depth and movement across the cloth. The repeating circular motifs—resembling clusters of bush tomatoes—are accented with dotted detailing and organic shapes, giving the fabric both a contemporary energy and a strong connection to Indigenous Australian design traditions.
