Core Collection Bundle (1825-1865)
1825 - 1865 Core Collection
Appliqué quilts of red and green, some with sparkle colors of the popular mineral dyes, were very popular during this Era.
Designs varied from large florals to small squiggles and vines as well as ombre stripes. Woven plaids and stripes were still plentiful.
Roller printed Pillar prints featuring classically inspired architectural columns festooned with flowers or ribbons were produced in the 1820s and 30s. Quilt blocks often contained small squares or triangles cut from a large pillar print.
Chrome yellow, orange, and green continued to be important colors.
Featured fabrics in this collection include Midtone Pastel Floral, Ombre, Mineral Colors (2), Pillar Print and Harsh Green (aka Poison Green). Solids: Kona Primrose and Bella Acid Green.
