This line of fabrics has a very fun back story. A female giraffe was given to the King of France in 1826 by the Egyptian ruler. She arrived in Marseilles and was walked to Paris. Can you imagine living in France and seeing the Giraffe walk by on the way to Paris? What a sight!
That next season Toiles de Jouy were printed with her image. This line from Regency Zarafa reminds me of that story. I have ordered this line 4 times now and the last time I took all the remaining yardage from the manufacture, so this is the end!
