Hello Reproduction Fabrics Fans!  There’s always something new arriving at Reproduction Fabrics, and we have two new beautiful quilt kits to share with you!

Chocolate Brown Stars Kit

Soft creams, warm tans, and rich chocolate browns come together beautifully in Chocolate Brown Stars, a timeless quilt designed, made, and quilted by Esther Paap.  This kit includes an original, out-of-print copy of Quiltmania Magazine Issue #159 from February 2024, which includes the Chocolate Brown Stars pattern! Check it out in our Fun Finds section of the website. 

Inspired by the refined palettes of late 19th-century quilts, Chocolate Brown Stars combines charming eight-pointed stars with simple blocks and striking pieced borders. The limited palette lets the wonderful variety of reproduction prints shine and gives the finished quilt a beautifully antique feel.

We’ve curated a special collection of cream, tan, and chocolate-brown reproduction fabrics to help you recreate the character of Esther’s original quilt. You’ll find small florals, geometrics, delicate sprigs, stripes, and other period-inspired prints—all chosen for that wonderfully scrappy reproduction look we love.

Indian Summer Quilt Kit by Petra Prins

Create a quilt filled with the rich color, intricate detail, and timeless beauty of Dutch chintz with the Indian Summer Quilt Kit by Petra Prins.

Indian Summer is a wonderfully detailed medallion-style quilt that showcases Petra Prins’ signature approach to fabric and color. Inspired by antique quilts and historic textiles, the design builds outward from a striking center medallion through layers of pieced borders, triangles, florals, and beautifully framed chintz prints.

The combination of warm pinks, reds, golds, blues, creams, and deep accents gives the quilt its wonderfully collected-over-time appearance. Large-scale florals provide opportunities for fussy cutting, while smaller prints add movement and contrast throughout the patchwork.

Petra Prins is especially known for her love of 17th- through 19th-century Dutch chintzes and antique quilts. Indian Summer is a beautiful example of how those historic influences can be combined into a quilt that is colorful, sophisticated, and full of visual interest.
