We are so excited to share that Petra Prins fabrics, patterns, and kits are bafck in Stock.  Petra has a new partnership with Devonstone in Australia and they are re-printing some of her out of print Chintzs, Pindots and Surats including some of her wonderful border stripe prints AND all these newly printed fabrics will be Silk Screened.  This is very unqiue as more and more printers are moving to digital printing.

Petra Prins is well known for her passion for antique textiles, especially the vibrant and highly decorative Dutch chintz fabrics of the 17th and 18th centuries. These original chintzes were luxury imports from India, treasured across Europe for their rich colors, intricate florals, and remarkable craftsmanship. Petra works closely with historic pieces from museum and private collections, carefully translating them into reproduction fabrics that capture the beauty and spirit of the originals.

Her Dutch Heritage Chintz collections reflect this history—featuring graceful florals, elegant stripes, and timeless designs that feel right at home in both antique-inspired and modern quilts.

And we’re especially excited to introduce two quilt kits created here in the shop:

Barnsley Quilt Kit – At the heart of the quilt are two stunning Barnsley center panels, showcasing beautifully detailed floral medallions reminiscent of early chintz textiles. These are framed by patchwork borders, striking triangular piecing, and delicate hexagon details that give the quilt its signature layered look. (Limited number based on the Barnsely Panel in stock which are not being re-printed currently)

Lady of the Lake Quilt Kit – A classic design brought to life with Petra’s distinctive fabrics, blending tradition with striking color and detail. For this Kit, we have curated a stunning bundle of 18 Dutch Heritage chintz fabrics, many of which are now out of print from our collection. These prints reflect the beauty of 17th- and 18th-century Dutch chintzes—flowing florals, exotic vines, and vibrant color palettes that were once prized across Europe. (Limited Kits based on the Chintz's needed for the quilt kits)
