About Barkcloth:
Barkcloth is a medium-weight fabric with a richly textured surface that was especially popular in the 1940s–1960s for draperies, upholstery, and home décor. Its durability and sculptural feel made it a favorite canvas for bold, modernist designs. Frank Lloyd Wright’s iconic geometric and nature-inspired patterns shine beautifully on this woven texture, giving your apron a timeless architectural edge.
With only one yard of fabric required, this is a quick, satisfying project – and each colorway highlights a different aspect of Wright’s legendary design work. The pattern calls for 1 yard of 44" width fabric and your Barkcloth yard will be 55" so that will leave plenty of fabric for another fund project, Hot Pads Maybe?
