Happy Mother’s Day – Free Shipping + New Quiltmania Books, Vintage Quilts & Core Bundles
Today, we celebrate the mothers, grandmothers, and generations of women who have passed down their love, strength, and creativity—often one stitch at a time.
Mother’s Day, as we know it in the U.S., was established in 1914 when President Woodrow Wilson officially declared the second Sunday in May a national holiday. But its roots stretch further back to the post-Civil War efforts of women like Ann Reeves Jarvis and her daughter, Anna Jarvis, who helped establish the holiday in honor of her own mother’s legacy.
Ann Reeves Jarvis is coined as the "mother who inspired Mother's Day" with her social activist group, the Mother's Day Work Club.
At Reproduction Fabrics, we are continually inspired by the women who keep the quilting tradition alive. Whether you’re a mom, a grandmother, or simply someone who loves working with your hands and honoring the past—we thank you.
