Classic Indiennes by Petra Prins – A Timeless Dutch Heritage Collection - New designs in the shop!

Stepping into Spring promotion - Feb 28th thru March 2 - All Dutch Hertigage is on sale!

Step into the rich history of 17th & 18th century Dutch chintz with our Classic Indiennes collection from Petra Prins and Nel Kooiman. These exquisite reproduction prints are inspired by the traditional floral designs that once graced fine textiles across Europe.

The term Indiennes refers to the painted and printed cottons that arrived in French port cities in the early 1600s, imported from India. Prized for their lightweight feel and vibrant, colorfast dyes, these fabrics became the choice for curtains, wall hangings, upholstery, bed drapes, and even garments.

We are proud to offer one of the largest selections of Dutch Heritage prints in North America, bringing these timeless, elegant fabrics to modern-day quilters and textile lovers. We added several new deisgns to our Dutch Heritage section this week including several new Pin Dots.  Check out that new Pomegrante - striking (yucky) yellow!

Margo is having so much fun putting together the FQ Bundles to go along with the book True Blue Quilts: Sew 15 Reproduction Quilts Honoring 19th-Century Designs by Annette Plog.

With *True Blue Quilts*, you can honor that history by recreating 15 traditional blue quilt patterns using reproduction fabrics. Explore the evolution of blue quilts through the Civil War years, from early indigo prints to the introduction of synthetic dyes. This book is a must-have for those who love vintage-inspired designs and want to stitch heirlooms for generations to come.

We’ve created a specially curated FQ Bundle to complement Annette’s book! This bundle includes 12 Fat Quarters, with 4 from each of the three 19th Century time periods Annette discusses, curated from our large selection of reproduction fabrics. 19th-century blues and indigos are a staple for making a quilt feel like an **antique** and getting that **true reproduction look**.

We also have several of the Time-Honored Traditions books and FQ bundles left as well!

Margo just made a new video for our YouTube channel about our new line in the shop called Mariakerke by Michelle Yeo. Check it out!

We love #michelleyeoquiltdesigns at ReproductionFabrics.com, and her latest collection, MARIAKERKE, is no exception! Inspired by two antique quilts from the 1830s and 1840s, this stunning collection features historic motifs in raspberry pinks, olive greens, and ocean blues. Michelle discovered these treasures at the European Patchwork Meeting in St. Marie aux Mines, a trip filled with meaningful connections—including her dear friend Françoise from Mariakerke and their gracious host, Marie-Rose. The collection’s name reflects the many "Marie" inspirations from this memorable journey.

Design Highlights:
  • A stunning chintz floral in three colorways with pink and teal flowers
  • Two of Michelle’s trademark serpentine prints—one vertical and a diagonal floral.
  • Rich, classic hues perfect for quilts, garments, and historic recreations
Designed to beautifully complement Michelle Yeo’s *Mariakerke* fabric collection by Henry Glass Fabrics, the *Mariakerke Stars* quilt pattern is inspired by two antique quilts from the 1830s and 1840s. Michelle discovered these treasures at the 2022 European Patchwork Meeting, attended with her Belgian friend, Françoise, from Mariakerke, Ghent. Michelle has been a long time friend of Reproduction Fabrics and we are so excited to be able to bring her fabric line and quilt design to you!

The pattern offers two stunning quilt variations:
  • Quilt 1 (87" x 103")– Features three strips of five Devil’s Claw blocks set on point, framed by dramatic vertical border prints.
  • Quilt 2 (68.5" x 86")– A mix of Devil’s Claw and Evening Star blocks arranged on point, framed with coordinating vertical and main borders.
To make it even easier to bring these historic-inspired quilts to life, we’re offering quilt kits for each version—so you can get started right away!
