The Dargate Book (Source of our Favorite Pinks, The Dargate Livre Pinks)

This remarkable fabric sample book was acquired from an estate sale at the Dargate Auction House in Pittsburgh, PA, in 1997. The large ledger-style book (10” x 16”) contains 330 rag-paper pages with approximately 1,750 fabric swatches of c. 1830 French dress goods. The samples, adhered with horse hoof or fish bone glue, have been preserved in a slipcase, maintaining their vibrant dye colors with minimal deterioration. Experts Dr. Virginia Gunn and Susan Meller have confirmed the dating of the textiles to around 1830.

Margo Krager, owner of the Dargate Book and ReproductionFabrics.com, has long been passionate about the history of the cotton textile industry across India, Europe, and the Americas. The latest addition to her reproduction fabric offerings includes the Complex Polychrome Dargate Livre Pinks, c. 1830, now available in fat quarters, half-yard bundles, and yardage.

Time-Honored Traditions by Annette Plog

We are absolutely loving the excitement around Time-Honored Traditions* by Annette Plog and our specially curated **Reproduction Fat Quarter Bundles**!

Pulling together these bundles has been such a joy—it’s like stepping back in time with each fabric choice. Seeing how quilters are inspired by Annette’s book has been incredible.

Thank you for all your support this weekend and all year long.  We really appreciate that you enable us to do what we love every day, keeping historical textiles alive, Thank You!
