We’re thrilled to announce the kickoff of our 2025 Block of the Month (BOM) Club on February 1st! This year, we’re embarking on a unique and creative quilting journey focusing on Star Blocks made from Complex Stripe fabrics.
The magic of this program lies in how we can achieve entirely different designs by simply cutting and arranging fabric in new ways. Together, we’ll uncover the Endless Design Possibilities hidden within these beautifully printed stripes.
Here’s What You’ll Love About the Program:
- Monthly Explorations: Each month, we’ll post instructions on how to fussy cut diamonds from a new Complex Stripe fabric.
- What’s Included:
- 1 yard of a Complex Stripe fabric
- Pre-cut papers and EPP template
- Light background fabric and dark solid for sashing (Month 1)
- Borders made of woven checks (Month 5)
- A captivating Textile History essay written by Margo
- Recommended notions to help with your creations
Techniques & Construction:
- English Paper Piecing (EPP): Perfect for precise fussy cutting and intricate design creation. (Can be machine pieced if you prefer)
- Hand or Machine Appliqué: Stars will be appliquéd onto a solid light background square (13 ½").
- Borders: Finished with a dark solid (2") and woven checks (5").
- Choose Your Palette: Select either the RED or NAVY quilt version when you sign up.
Community Features:
- Private Facebook Group: Share your creations, gain inspiration, and connect with fellow quilters.
- In-Person Stitching: Join Margo for a "Sit and Stitch" at our Northfield, MN store on the 2nd Friday/Saturday of each month. If you can’t attend in person, don’t worry—we’ll share the presentation with you.
