I posted the Around the Block Quilt Pattern earlier this week.  We still have a couple left in stock for anyone that is intersted in this amazing quilt.   Know anyone buying a new home in 2025?  This quilt would make a perfect home warming gift.

We’re excited to share our *Around the Block* quilt pattern featuring stunning yarn-dyed ‘cross stitch’ fabric in green that mimics the look of fresh grass, creating a perfect backdrop for your quilt! The design is framed with a strong, woven plaid border that has a touch of navy and green, adding depth and texture to your piece. The binding completes the look, providing a perfect finish to this charming quilt.

But that’s not all—our Around the Block pattern is part of a special Around the Block Quilt Kit designed to help you create the cutest little houses for your quilt. Here’s what’s included:

 For the houses:

This is still one of my favorite quilts. Available once again!...Bette Faries' Lots of Little Pink Stars pattern. Finished quilt is 83" X 104". Hand piecing templates as well as rotary cutting directions.

We have a flutter of pre cut FQs...requirements are for 36 Double Pinks, 3 Indigo/white, 3 Browns and 2 Tans. Lots of Pink Fabrics available.

The inspiration for Little Pink Stars II is a quilt made by Margo’s friend Bette Faries. Bette lived in the Tidewater area of Virginia in the early 1970s. While shopping for Blue Flow china at local antique stores, Bette started to pick up quilt tops and blocks. Always fond of pink, she chose pieces that contained classic double pinks but were damaged or poorly sewn. Bette took everything apart, saving the good parts.

Bette's quilt, entirely hand pieced and hand quilted, contains 432 mostly pink star blocks with a sprinkle of other colors: lights, taupe/tan, warm browns and several Indigos. The background fabric is late 1970s broadcloth; all the stars are antique fabrics, 1840-end of the century.

Do you know anyone graduating this year?    My oldest grandson Landen graduated last year and it was a whirlwind. Landen was always an avid reader so I knew I wanted to use books as the inspiration for her graduation gift. Here are some pictures of the final project. I was able to customize with his future school (The University of Wisconsin, Eau Claire) and his favorite books like the Harry Potter series.

This quilt pattern and full quilt kit are available on my website.  We only have 2 available of the full quilt kit.   Check out the Book Nook and Book Nerd patterns as well.

New in the Shop: Frank Lloyd Wright

I have just received this new line and I’m so excited to share it with you. This is the Anchor for the Mid-Century Modern section of my website. Frank Lloyd Wright (1867-1959) was a world wide influence over his long creative life.  His style in the US is known as the Prairie School and prevalent here in the Midwest. Strong horizontal lines evoke the treeless expanse of the prairie landscape. The Prairie School was the American response to the Arts and Crafts Movement in England. We have the dramatic March Balloons in all 4 colors plus 18 coordinates called House Beautiful. Fat Quarter Bundles of the smaller House Beautiful prints available.

New in Shop: Dutch Heritage from Petra Prins

Classic Indiennes from Petra Prins.  Dutch Heritage fabric designed by Petra Prins and Nel Kooiman are reproduction prints inspired by traditional floral designs found in 17th & 18th century Dutch chintz. We have just received 5 new fabrics from this line, I have been waiting for them to arrive for month, and they are wonderful. We have 2 colors of the Basket Chintz and 3 of the Botanical Gardens.
