Applique 5-Session Workshop (+ Bonus Day Option) with Miki Peine
Join us at ReproductionFabrics.com for a special hand appliqué workshop with Miki Peine. In this 6-session class, you will learn and practice four distinct hand appliqué methods: traditional needle-turn, back basting, prepared edge using appliqué paper, and prepared edge with freezer paper.
This is a wonderful opportunity to learn the strengths of each technique and discover which approach feels most natural in your hands. We will also explore the wide range of appliqué notions available today. From needles and threads to marking tools and specialty papers, students will have the chance to test different supplies and determine the tools that best suit their stitching style.
Whether you are new to appliqué (Beginners welcome!) or looking to refine and compare methods, this hands-on class offers foundational instruction and confidence building. Students will stitch a charming four-block heart design, perfect for finishing as a small wall quilt or table topper. The focus will be on accuracy, smooth curves, clean points, and confident handwork—skills that translate beautifully into any future appliqué project.
WORKSHOP DETAILS:
Class meets for five Saturdays from 9am to noon. Each three-hour session allows plenty of time for demonstration, hands-on practice, and personalized guidance. A sixth Saturday (May 16th) is offered as a makeup date or for those wanting some extra stitching time.

- Up to 18 hours of instruction
- Have a Heart pattern designed by Patricia Cox ($15 value)

- We will have fabric kits available (optional) or you may bring in inspiration from your stash
